Puppy Knowledge Session

Have you just got a new puppy and looking for support? Or better yet, are you about to get a puppy and do you want to make the transition as smooth as possible? This session is perfect for you! These sessions are designed just for the humans, to get all the boring stuff (read: very helpful information to set you and your pup up for success) out of the way, without puppies getting bored.

Join a friendly group setting to cover all the things you need to know to get you started on the right foot (or paw)! Included are common puppy topics such as socialisation, toilet training, jumping up, chewing, biting, digging, and more. It's a great opportunity to meet some potential new classmates that are going through the same things as you, as well as getting a feel for me and my training style, before committing to a full course or private training.

Please note: This is a humans only session, although you are encouraged to bring a photo of your pup to share! â€‹If your pup is old enough to be out in parks safely, the Foundations Course (details below) is there for you to get a timely start on the physical socialising and training.

Upskill Course

Continuing on from the skills developed in the foundations course, throughout this course you will actively work through more distractions, and improve your dog's focus and impulse control. Practising reading and responding to your dog's body language in a controlled class setting will not only strengthen your bond with your dog, but will further improve their ability to listen to you in increasingly distracting environments.

New Puppy Package

More cost effective than regular one on one training and designed to set you and your new puppy up for success, the puppy package includes three separate sessions:

  • 90 minute session at your home to cover things like puppy home setup, toilet training, biting, chewing, digging, jumping up, etc. This session can even be done before you bring your puppy home if you would like to be extra prepared!

  • One hour session for socialisation, what to look out for in body language, how to build confidence and settle excitement as you're teaching your pup how to behave out in the big wide world. Depending on your vet's advice, this can be done at a cafe or pet friendly store. We can also discuss what would be possible/most suitable for this at the first session.

  • One hour session at your home, to follow up on anything previously covered if you encounter any difficulties, or to start training some basic behaviours to set you both up for training success!
