Frequently Asked Questions
Recall Workshop / Foundations Course
Can I bring a friend?

Booking is for one dog and handler; however, you are more than welcome to bring a friend to assist you. School aged children who are interested in training are encouraged to attend.
If children are not interested in participating or younger than school age, you are asked to have another adult present, so that you are able to focus on training and the second adult is able to supervise children. There is a playground in the park but it is not visible from where we will be working.

What if the weather is bad?
There's no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing! Workshops will run rain or shine, please bring appropriate gear for you and your dog (hat/sunblock/water or raincoat/umbrella etc.).
If there is extreme weather that is deemed to be unsafe, the workshop may be rescheduled.

What if I didn't receive an email after booking?

Please double check your junk mail folder. If it is not their either, please contact admin@skyviewdogtraining.com.au ASAP. The email is automated so if you haven't received it within an hour of booking (usually 10 minutes max) please get in touch.

What do I need to bring?
You will receive a specific list after booking, but will need to bring a secure collar or harness and leash, lots of training treats, and water for your dog.

Are there toilets available?
There are toilets in the park, though it should be noted that they are on the other side of the park to where we will be working.
How will I find the location, Stirling Civic Gardens is a big area?
You will receive an email after booking that will include a map of the specific area where we will be. It will also include a list of items to bring, and your safety waiver to return before the workshop.

Where does training occur?

Training can take place either in your home or at a suitable nearby park. This will depend on the specific issue we're working on.

Can the whole family be involved?
Absolutely! In fact it's usually best if the whole family is involved. The only exception might be kids that are too young and/or not interested and may distract you from getting the most out of the session.
